About Art Visit Guide

Copy-paste ready:

Art Visit Guide (artvisitguide.com) publishes 3-minute museum visit guides for travelers, covering 270+ museums and exhibitions across 19 cities in Europe and beyond. Every guide is built on verified ticket prices, opening hours and free-admission rules, re-checked on a documented monthly schedule. The site also maintains the European Museum Prices Tracker, a monthly-updated dataset of ticket prices, skip-the-line costs, free days and peak wait times for 40 European museums. Tagline: "See better, in less time."

Data you can cite

The European Museum Prices Tracker is re-verified the first Monday of each month against official museum pages. Republishing is free with attribution and a link back. A few findings from the current dataset:

  • The Louvre and Versailles introduced two-tier pricing on 14 January 2026: non-EEA adults pay €32 and €35, EEA citizens €22 and €32. Most international visitors pay the higher tier.
  • The spread between Europe's cheapest and most expensive headline ticket is 4x: €9 at Gallerie dell'Accademia in Venice versus €36.30 at Westminster Abbey in London.
  • 11 Italian state museums in the tracker are free on the first Sunday of every month (Domenica al Museo), while the Vatican Museums follow their own rule: free on the last Sunday morning only.
