These terms cover using artvisitguide.com. They're written to be read, not to be survived. If something here is unclear, email us and we'll explain it in plain words.

Who runs this site

Art Visit Guide is published by Adrià García Font, based in Barcelona, Spain. It's one person, not a company or an editorial team. Contact: [email protected].

What our guides are, and what they aren't

We publish museum visit guides: routes, opening hours, ticket prices, free-admission days and what's worth your attention once you're inside. We verify what we publish on a fixed schedule, described in full on Trust & Methodology.

Museums change things without telling us. Prices rise, rooms close for restoration, free days move with public holidays, and a work you came to see can be on loan to another city. We re-check on a schedule, but between checks a page can be out of date. Before you travel or book, confirm the details that matter on the museum's own website. Our pages are a starting point for planning, not a guarantee of what you'll find at the door.

If you spot something wrong, email [email protected]. We check it against the official source and fix it within 48 hours.

When you book a ticket

We don't sell tickets. We're not a travel agency, a tour operator or a ticket reseller, and no booking is ever made with us.

Our guides link out to GetYourGuide, Tiqets, Viator and the museums' own ticket pages. When you follow one of those links and buy, your contract is with that company, not with Art Visit Guide. Their terms, their prices, their cancellation and refund rules, their customer service. If a tour is cancelled, a ticket doesn't arrive, or you need a refund, they're who you deal with, and we have no power to change a booking or issue a refund.

We do earn a commission on some of those bookings, at no extra cost to you. How that works, and what it does and doesn't buy, is set out on Trust & Methodology.

Our content

The text and the room-by-room routes on this site are ours, and they're free to read. You're welcome to quote a passage with a link back, share a guide, or print one for your own visit.

What we ask you not to do: republish a guide in full elsewhere, feed the site wholesale into a product that resells or repackages it, or present our routes as someone else's work. If you want to use something more substantially than a quote, ask first. We usually say yes.

Photography comes from several places. Some is ours, some is from Pexels under its licence, and some is from Wikimedia Commons under Creative Commons licences, credited per article where the photographer is known. Those images carry their own licence terms, which travel with the image and not with this site.

The email list

Subscribing gets you the guide you asked for and occasional updates about new guides. Nothing else. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also write to us and we'll remove you. What we store and who processes it is in the Privacy Policy.

Links to other sites

We link out constantly, because a guide that doesn't send you to the museum's own ticket page isn't much of a guide. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for what they publish, sell or collect once you're there.

Where our responsibility ends

We publish this in good faith and check it on a schedule, but we can't promise the site is free of errors or always available. We're not liable for a trip planned around a price that changed, a museum that closed on the day, a booking made with a third party, or time and money lost to information that was accurate when we checked it and isn't any more. This doesn't affect rights you have under consumer law that can't be signed away.

Changes

These terms can change. When they do in a way that matters, the date below changes with them, and for subscribers we'll say so in an email.

Applicable law

Spanish law applies, and the courts of Barcelona have jurisdiction, without affecting the rights that consumer law gives you where you live.
